Short Description:

Formerly the Music Director of the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’, Julian Reeve is a CEO and International Speaker committed to inspiring healthier attitudes to work. Fueled by his stress-related heart attack, aged just 43, he empowers audiences with strategic resilience for burnout-free success.

THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENED

On it’s transfer to Broadway, the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’ became a cultural phenomenon. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s incredible creative interpretation of Alexander Hamilton’s life captured the imagination of even the most theatre-resistant Americans, signaling the arrival of Broadway’s next perennial favorite.

What was it like to be in ‘The Room Where It Happens’, as it happened? Was being involved with the show at the very peak of it’s success just a normal day at the office, or an experience to last a lifetime?

From the outside, it may have looked like it was all fun, success, and parties. The reality for Julian was very different. (SPOILER ALERT: it involved a heart attack!)

Julian shares his most intimate stories from his time on the show, describing the lessons he learned from the significant health issues while working on the show and the incredible legacy that Alexander Hamilton gave America. He underlines his own experience as an immigrant, drawing parallels with Alexander’s journey, and shares his thoughts on what we can all learn from the business of Broadway.

Attendees will:

  • Discover the secrets of the show, including a deep-dive into the creative process
  • Sing/Rap music from the show
  • Connect with personal stories and anecdotes
  • Draw inspiration from the history of America, and the values of leadership
