Ken speaks about his TRUST leadership principles that is derived from his 25 years in leadership roles at J & J.

Simplifying Leadership in a Complex World through T.R.U.S.T.

TRUST is the foundation of all great and productive relationships.

Great and productive relationships, regardless of the reporting structure, lead to individual and team success and are the basis of a strong culture.

A lack of TRUST manifests itself in multiple ways including micro-managing, a “head-down, take care of myself” mentality, non-productive conflict and, holding back information that would allow your team to manage problems or take advantage of opportunities on their own.

A lack of TRUST is often a contributing factor for talent retainment challenges like “The Great Resignation” and “Quiet Quitting”.

TRUST needs to be earned, nurtured, and developed over time through words and action. When there is truly TRUST in an organization you will typically find motivated, happy employees who can work independently or collaboratively, take charge when needed, and make good, informed decisions freeing up leadership to do their job… to lead.

This talk is focused on the 5 areas of the “TRUST Success Model.”

Transparency: In positive relationships there are no hidden agendas.

Results: It’s not only about achieving the vision and meeting the goals of the organization, but it’s also about how things get done and the growth of the individual and the team.

Understanding: In good times or bad, understanding the motivation behind a person’s actions allows for the appropriate amount of empathy, support or direction.

Simplicity: Prioritizing and utilizing your calendar (and coaching your team to do so as well) appropriately will help you increase productivity. This leads to focusing on the right things that lead to high productivity and goal attainment.

Team Focus: The bottom line is that if the team succeeds, the leader succeeds.

This talk contains practical ideas about how you can use the TRUST Success Model as the foundation of a culture necessary to build an engaged and loyal workforce that will bring out the best in everyone.

How to win the “War on Talent” While Others Struggle to Fill Positions

61% of US employees considered handing in their resignations in 2023, according to a LinkedIn survey.*

It’s business critical to pay attention to employment trends such as “The Great Resignation” and “Quiet Quitting”. These are, likely, not a “trend” but a change in how employees see their jobs and careers.

This talent drain impacts productivity and team performance that has a significant long-term impact on individual and organizational performance. It can be catastrophic to careers and to business viability.

Great relationships between leaders and their team minimize this talent drain. And great relationships are built on the foundation of TRUST.

This talk focuses on the “TRUST Success Model” and how it can be used to develop people and to build great organizations.

This talk is focused on the 5 areas of the “TRUST Success Model.”

Transparency: By freely sharing information, good and bad, leaders position their employees for success.

Results: A shared vision makes achieving positive results possible. End results are important, but it’s also about how things get done along with the growth of the individual and the team.

Understanding: Knowing where a person is coming from, personally and professionally, and where they want to take their career allows for the appropriate amount of empathy, support or direction.

Simplicity: Overwhelm is a big issue and it often results in a lack of focus and a reduction in quality of work. Great leaders help their team to focus on the right things that lead to high productivity and goal attainment.

Team Focus: Creating a motivational environment is important and feeling part of a team than oneself and contributing to a bigger vision is a human need we all have.

This program will provide practical ways to develop recruiting and talent management into a holistic approach that helps leaders attract, develop, and retain top talent while positively impacting their own performance, development, and career growth.

LEADING REMOTE AND HYBRID WORK TEAMS FOR BUSINESS GROWTH

The Pandemic has changed the way business is conducted and it will continue to evolve.

The “fact” that employees need to be in one location to be productive and effective has been disproven for many professions and companies. The organizations that recognize this and continue to develop their processes, procedures, and culture are the ones who have thrived and will continue to prosper during this transformational period of doing business.

In order for a hybrid or remote work model to succeed there needs to be a high level of TRUST. This is because TRUST is the foundation of all great relationships and great relationships are the key to success.

This talk is focused on the 5 areas of the “TRUST Success Model.”

Transparency: Without the interactions that occur in a physical office, information becomes even more valuable. By freely sharing information, good and bad, leaders position their employees for success.

Results: Setting clear expectations and holding people accountable takes on even more importance for remote and hybrid teams. End results are important, but milestone check-ins will ensure that priorities are addressed and positive outcomes are achieved.

Understanding: There are potentially many more distractions that remote workers face. Knowing where a person is coming from, personally and professionally, allows for the appropriate amount of empathy, support or direction.

Simplicity: Overwhelm is a big issue and it often results in a lack of focus and a reduction in quality of work. Great leaders help their team to focus on the right things that lead to high productivity and goal attainment.

Team Focus: One of the challenges of remote work is maintaining a united team. Creating a motivational environment is important and feeling part of a team than oneself is a human need we all have.

Remote and hybrid teams are here to stay. How you lead and manage your team needs to adapt to this new work environment.
